Campaign #2

Campaign #2 - Report Police Harassment!

A number of recent articles in the media suggest that police officers in the United Kingdom, especially those influenced by the Child Abuse Investigation Command (CAIC) and the Children’s Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP) wish to target and harass people who are sexually attracted to children, even if those people do not commit crimes against children.

While we appreciate the fact that it is necessary for Police to investigate people who they only reasonably suspect to be engaged in illegal activity, it is not necessary - nor is it legal - to target people because they fit into a particular demographic, including the demographic of non-offending paedophiles. We believe that the above-mentioned organisations will encourage police officers to do this, which is why we need your help.

If you are a non-offender and you believe that you are being harassed or unfairly targetted by a police officer, we would like to know. If you have a name and/or photograph of the officer who is harassing you because of your sexuality (and you have some evidence of such harassment), we will be happy to publish this information and we will assist you if you wish to make a complaint to the Independent Police Complaints Commission. We will NOT reveal your name or identity publicly, nor will we share it with anyone without your explicit permission.

Reports should be sent to blribbon@fastmail.fm.
